Favorite Things Friday: All things Natural | East Texas Moms Blog

“Awwww is that natural? Yassssss!!! That smells fresh and natural!”

I believe it’s safe to say that my favorite things are ALL things natural. From the sights of seeds to the earthly smell of herbs and spices. I am in love with the natural healing idea. I am sure my family can vouch that I am quite obsessed. The answer to every situation is herbs, spices, and essential oils. Got a headache? Rub the peppermint oil behind the ears. You feel sick? Drink a cup of hot herbal tea.

all naturalJust imagine walking into your front door and you take a deep breathe full of lavender, lemon and peppermint. Ahhhhhh yea your sinuses just cleared up right? How about a hot cup of lemon ginger tea with a hint of mint? Yasss!!, that warm fresh feeling gives me a sense of relaxation and rejuvenation. What about that nasty virus going around? Turmeric, ginger, eucalyptus and hot water would do the trick.

I believe that there is a great deal of truth behind natural remedies. I have not quite put my figure on it, but I know that all things natural is the truth. So I decided to further in my obsession. I’ve convinced my husband to clear off some of our land so that I could grow my very own garden of herbs, spices, and veggies. For the record, I know nothing about gardening. However, the thought of picking my very own hand grown tomato brings healing to my soul.

Lately, I have spent a great deal of time researching natural remedies. I’ve even signed up to get a natural nutrition certification. (Though, I missed the online orientation. Boo!) I mean if it’s your favorite thing right now why night go all out, right? What if you could gain more time in the garden instead of the clinic? What if you could spend less money in the grocery store? Mostly, what if you could feel refreshed and rejuvenated because all things are natural? Who’s with me? What natural in your life?
