East Texas Moms Blog is taking some time in 2018 to shine the spotlight on some moms in our East Texas community. We hope these stories continue to shine a light so bright, that it brings us together and let’s us know we are not alone in this journey!
There are some people in the world who are a true joy to have around. Their presence is a breath of fresh air. These people are a privilege to have in your life. People who encourage and make you feel good. People who are driven and motivate others to live their best life.
Meet Lindsay Simms.
Lindsay is a mother to two- Brady, 4 and Andrew, 20 months.
You may think she has her hands full with two toddlers, but it doesn’t stop there.
She has a full-time job.
She is a health and fitness coach.
And she is an active member in the Junior League of Longview.
Lindsay is an active member in the Longview Running Club.
She is the Board of Director’s President for The ARC of Gregg County.
This girl says it best when she announced her new position for The ARC:
“Am I the most experienced? No. Do I feel like I have the time? No. HOWEVER, I have the PASSION to make sure my time here on this earth is PURPOSEFUL.”
She is incredibly driven and chooses to use her time, gifts and passion to help others.
Furthermore, she is positive, and it’s not because life has always been easy or a bed of roses. She has endured loss and grief in her own life and walks it with her closest friend. Lindsay chooses the positive and she chooses joy. She chooses hope. And she spreads that.
She will be the first to say life can sometimes be challenging and far from perfect. She doesn’t claim to always have it together, but her realness and her drive to always keep moving forward speak volumes of her.
Lindsay is the real deal. She is honest about life and motherhood, and it is incredibly refreshing and inspiring. She is doing this mom thing right. And not just #momlife, but all areas of her life! She has a heart to serve, give and help others. And does she ever!
Thank you, Lindsay, for your drive, your transparency, and your encouragement. May we be inspired by you.
